DESCRIPTION: For your consideration is this specific piece of walnut: what you see is what you get. #10 Mill-cut. Barn-dried, cured and stored in the same facility for over thirty years. The four-inch 'bands' of discoloration are from boards that were used as 'spacers' during the curing process. These slabs remain UNPLANED and much of the original bark of the tree still clings to the perimeter of some pieces. As with any rough-cut lumber, there are surface variations attributed to wood density, sharpness of the blade, cutting speed & so forth. Some fissures have naturally opened in the faces of the slabs; these are shown & should not be considered actual damage, but an inherent quality of the material.
