Hello everyone!!! I thought I came up with this idea on my own... of course I was wrong. I am not the first nor will I be the last person to offer such a service on eBay. Please read through the entire listing prior to making a decision! Here's what makes me different: I am offering a TOP NOTCH service to the highest bidder. This is not some ditty or rag-on-your-friend deal. I am not a professionally trained or credential/degree toting musician. What I am is a studio and road experienced musician that knows what it takes to make a song great. I know what it takes for a song to please one person and what it takes for a song to please an entire audience. There is feeling in music far beyond the repetition and memorization that goes along with extensive training. I have that feeling and ability to create great songs. NOW.... all that said, I am not perfect nor do I have the widest range of talent in the world. I am an excellent guitarist and bassist with decent skill on the piano, mandolin, xylophone and clarinet. I am a terrible drummer, but I AM an excellent programmer and can arrange drums with the best of 'em. My musical range is from rock to rock (metal, punk, glam, rock 'n roll, etc... if its rock, I play it). I can whip up some dreamy softer music, but country, rap, hip-hop, yanni and rod stewart-ish stuff are all out of the question. CONTINUING ON... if you are still reading, then you might just be interested in what I have to offer. This auction is for ONE (1) song, built to your liking. Tell me what you want and I will deliver. I can write the words without issue (actual education there... English major turned plumber... still have the stuff though!) or you can send me your own lyrics. If you have a tempo or a "da-da-de-dum-da-da" humming tune in your head that you want turned into an actual recording, that's fine too!!!... just be reasonable. I work alongside a local music store with 10 times as much equipment than I personally own... all of which is at my disposal upon request! Now... If you've made it this far, I congratulate you! If you've seen/heard/owned more than 10% of the equipment I've mentioned, you're awesome! If you're wondering why I'm not recording, touring or being a professional studio musician right now, the answer is simple: I am married, have 3 children (the most recent born 2 weeks ago!) and am a true professional plumber which makes decent money. I am offering this service as something to do in what free time I have (especially being at the beginning of a 2 month vacation period from work). I do miss being on the road and recording, but I would miss my family more were I to choose that lifestyle again. Assuming that you are still interested, here's the details of the arrangement: #1) Don't expect a great song to happen overnight! It takes time. Expect anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months for completion. #2) I do not expect complete payment upfront! It is a project and payment should be made throughout (25% to retain services, 25% upon 1st draft, 25% upon satisfied draft, 25% upon physical recording on disc in-hand) #3) If for some reason I cannot accomplish the sound you are going for, allow me to bring in a fellow musician to attempt to deliver the perfect product. Do not give up on the project after 1 week (refer to #1). #4) When physical recording is delivered and payment is received in full, YOU OWN THE SONG! I ask only to be given name credit on any reproduction of the song. #5) I retain the right to cancel our contract at any time and issue you a FULL refund of any money paid. #6) If you choose to cancel our contract after retention of my services, the 25% initial payment is non-refundable. If you are unsure about retaining services, simply don't... please. #7) I will provide you with many means of contacting me through the process (cell phone, email and mailing addresses). Please just be courteous and don't call every 5 minutes (refer to #5). I look forward to working with you in the very near future. PS: I am a bit of a perfectionist... this is probably one of the best qualities in a musician to work with, so long as there are no more than 2 musicians in the room! :)
